Sourcing Sustainable Coffee
Traceability and transparency are key to sustainable coffee.
Paying a premium for high quality coffee is one of the biggest motivators for producers to undertake more sustainable growing and processing methods.
We recognise the large amount of work that goes into producing consistent, high quality specialty coffee. Producers need to have the confidence to innovate and experiment with farming and processing methods that improve their coffee quality along with their productivity, environmental and economic sustainability. Through forward contracts and year on year relationships, we work with producers and import partners who engage in long-term programs of quality and sustainability.
Compostable Coffee Bags
Clark St Coffee Roasters have lead the Australian specialty coffee industry since 2010 with compostable, plant-based coffee packaging that is not only biodegradable but keeps coffee fresher than traditional foil-plastic coffee packaging.
Compostable Cups
Our long standing partnership with Planetware brings a more sustainable single-use cup solution to you with forest friendly certified paper and plant-based PLA lids and lining which are compostable, biodegradable and recyclable.

Organic Waste Collection Service
Innovations in compostable products are a step forward from conventional packaging but the full benefits can’t be realized without affordable and accessible composting.
We are rolling out an organics waste collection service which collects your coffee grinds, compostable coffee bags, used Planetware cups and kitchen waste. The waste is diverted into fertilizer and energy production paving the way for a circular economy.
HARVEST
Harvest has been developed by a dedicated team of specialists. This includes scientists with over 20 years experience in sustainability and the use of compostable materials in packaging and in collaboration with Q Graders and Bioplastic Manufacturers.
The hermetic grain storage packaging we have now is a result of a four year development and testing process.
The performance of Harvest bags has been tested by roasters, producers, coffee growers and exporters across multiple coffee growing regions.
